Hello,
below are some Windows® programs I've written that can
be
downloaded, and links to some things in which I'm involved. Some
programs have an installation/setup program. The programs are
copyrighted but are free for non-commercial use (i.e. freeware).
Prime Curios These are
curiosities
about prime numbers, and I've submitted a few. There is to be a
book as soon as the first 10,000,000-digit prime is discovered.
Great Internet Mersenne Prime Search
This is a project to search for large Mersenne prime numbers.
I've been a member since 1998 and I've tested
over 240 numbers (all were found to be composite) and I've
found a factor of more than 35 of
them. I have seven CPUs working on this. I'm in the top 500
producers.
Prime Puzzles
These are mathematical puzzles involving prime numbers. I used to
be active there.
Golden Isles Scholastic Chess
This is our organization for local scholastic chess tournaments.
My daughter plays in the tournaments and I coach her team. I get
the trophies for the
tournament and do a few other things to help out, such as being an
assistant tournament director.
Chess
sets. I
use and recommend the fine chess sets from the House of Staunton.
If you have played chess with my daughter or me in the last few years
on our own set, it was one of our House of Staunton sets. If you
played with her set it was a ProLine. If you played with my set
it was a Professional, Centurion, Collector II, Capablanca, Zagreb,
ProLine, or plastic Marshall. (Yes, I know what you are
thinking...) The wooden pieces given as prizes at the Golden
Isles Scholastic chess tournaments are from the House of
Staunton. If you
visit their website through the link below and buy something I get a
little money to
keep this website going. Even if you don't plan to buy, check them out
by clicking here.
